Protecting What Grows Quietly
A Quiet Kind of Stewardship
Evergreen Harbor Point Co., Ltd. understands this coastline not as a destination to be marketed, but as a living place to be cared for. Long before visitors arrive and long after they leave, the pine groves, bamboo stands, and tide-worn rocks continue their own slow, patient existence. Our commitment is to preserve the evergreen forest and harbor ecosystem so that it may still be found, unhurried and intact, by those who come after us.
How We Care for This Place
Forest Care
The pine and bamboo groves that shape this point are left to grow largely undisturbed. We limit foot traffic to established paths, restrict clearing to only what safety requires, and watch closely for signs of erosion around root systems so that the forest floor remains stable for generations of trees still to come.
Shoreline Protection
Dunes and tide rocks hold memory in their shape — memory that a single careless step can undo. We keep trails clearly marked and gently reinforced, guiding visitors along routes that let them witness the shoreline closely without wearing away the fragile ground beneath it.
Respecting Stillness
Darkness and quiet are part of this landscape's character. We keep artificial lighting minimal, limit noise near dusk, and ask visitors to move gently through the evening hours, so that the nocturnal life of the forest and shore can continue undisturbed beneath an unbroken sky.
The Old Pines Are Left as They Are
Along the shore stand pines that have leaned into the wind for longer than any record of this place. Their trunks curve low, their branches reach sideways rather than up, shaped by decades of salt air and steady weather. We do not straighten them, prop them, or trim them into tidier forms. Left as they are, they stand as a quiet symbol of the point's patience — proof that endurance, here, looks like bending without breaking.
"We do not measure our success in numbers, but in what remains unchanged — the same quiet light through the pines, the same patient rhythm of the tide."

The best way to understand our approach to conservation is to walk gently among the trees and along the tide line yourself, and to learn more about the story that shapes our care for this place.
